Unleash your inner Wild Thing and join us to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day at the Wild Things Festival in Yachats!

This year, we’re excited to partner with SWIFTY and the City of Yachats to bring you Wild Things - our Migratory Bird Day celebration!

Join us on Saturday, May 10 from 11 AM - 3 PM at the Yachats Commons for a family-friendly event that celebrates the wild and wonderful biodiversity of the Oregon Coast. Admission is free, and here are some of the exciting things to look forward to:

• Bird Walk at Eckman Lake: Join Seven Capes Bird Alliance to do some birding at Eckman Lake from 9-11 a.m.

• Art and Creativity: Featuring bigger-than-life animal puppets, kids and adults can join in crafting their own Wild Things accessories for the parade

• Educational Booths and Activities: Learn about our coastal ecosystem through engaging demonstrations, plant and animal walks, and educational booths hosted by an incredible lineup of organizations

• Wild Plant Sale: Hosted by the MidCoast Watersheds Council and Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District, this plant sale is a great opportunity to support local conservation efforts while adding some beautiful native plants to your garden

• Music and Entertainment: Interactive performances by Your Song My Song, an environmental justice focused children’s entertainment group. Their shows are filled with music, puppets, and storytelling that celebrates Earth’s beauty while inspiring audiences to take.
