November 7, 2009 - Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Today we saw a Bald Eagle that hovered over a Bufflehead trying to become a diving bird until it tired out and the eagle flew off with it.
(This was a day to remember not only for the number of birds viewed, but also for the daring souls who weathered lightning and thunder, pouring rain, and hail. It was also the same day that a tornado hit Roads End, ripping off a roof of a house and blowing out car windows!)
