Join local conservation, education, and community science organizations to learn about and celebrate our birds!
Insects and their importance to migratory birds is the focus of this year’s World Migratory Bird Day, a global campaign that aims to raise awareness of migratory birds and the need to conserve and support them.
When? Sunday, May 26th, 2024 from 10AM- 2PM
Where? Lower Nehalem Community Trust’s Alder Creek Farm,
35955 Underhill Lane, Nehalem, OR 97131
Who? Everyone! This is a family-friendly event for seasoned and novice birders alike. No experience necessary and birding opportunities for all. We will have some pairs of binoculars to loan and spotting scopes set up to observe birds in different habitats throughout the farm, from both easily accessible locations and further afield.
Celebrate: Come celebrate Spring migration on the North Coast and the important efforts that local organizations are making to protect and help birds and the habitats they depend on.
